As a Jalopnik discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Jeremy Clarkson or Top Gear approaches 1
I love the show, but does anyone else cringe at how often it's brought up in the comments on Jalopnik's FP?

I dislike everything about the Top Gear show; therefore, I never watch nor do I read any related articles. Frankly, I ain't care one damn bit, period. Except for this one-time-only comment.

I'm sorta with you. I don't mind the show as entertainment, but as meaningful and objective review of a car I can't take it seriously. So much bias. People who think these guys are the end all be all are sheep.

eh, I have nothing against anyone who posts something about Top Gear.. and I really don't think there's a great number of people who would implicitly trust TG's opinion when considering a car to buy.
and calling them sheep is rather elitist, for the most part TG are truthful in what they state. They just embellish the story.. sometimes a lot.

Sometimes I'm about to write something top gear related in the commets but I stop because "I don't wanna be THAT guy". So yes, I know what you mean.

A corollary: the inevitable "ZERMAGERD TOP GEAR USA IS SO BAD WE SHOULD KILL IT! BLARGH" comment.
Even though I don't enjoy it, I appreciate there being a car-oriented TV show in addition to Motorweek that's not focused on NASCAR or selling cars to desperate baby boomers.

nah, Godwin's law isn't named after Hitler.
I selfishly prefer Nelly's Law
